  • Dr. Lisa Lewis

    Compassionate, kind and definitely the “Smile” behind Smile Keepers, Dr. Lewis truly is a special person. Her repoire with her patients matched with her skill and ability to make even the most anxious person feel comforted will keep all your visits with us a positive experience. Dr. Lewis graduated in 1992 from University of Detroit Mercy with a Bachelor Degree in Dental Hygiene Science. Although she provided excellent hygiene care for her patients she continued to feel a longing to go “the extra mile”. In May of 1998 Dr. Lewis realized her dream and attained her second Degree, this time as a Doctor of Dental Surgery (dentist). She found her way to Owosso in October of 2004 and fell in love with the staff and the people of this community. She officially made the practice her own in June of 2005 and Smile Keepers became her home away from home. Her many credentials include being a member of the Michigan Dental Association, Detroit Dental Society and the American Dental Association. She is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Course and the Pride institute. . To make sure she is always providing you with the most comprehensive and cutting edge care, she has attended and continues to attend several hours of continuing education . Aside from dentist, creative would be a good description of Dr. Lewis. Anything from reupholstering to flower arrangements to fashion, she has an energy and spunk for life that is an inspiration to us all. With Peacocks being her “personal Mascot” she adds “color” to all she sets out to accomplish. Dr. Lewis has 2 children Carson and Alexis who round out her life.

  • Dr. Aleena Dababneh-Bageris

    Aleena Dababneh-Bageris is thrilled to become part of the Smile Keeper family following her graduation from Detroit Mercy Dental in May 2024. Aleena grew up in Lapeer, Michigan where she spent a great amount of time gardening and cooking which inspired her to study Nutritional Sciences at Michigan State University. Engaging in hobbies like gardening and cooking, se discovered the profound connections between food and health, inspiring her journey into dentistry.

    Fascinated by the pivotal role of the mouth in the digestive system, Aleena's interest in oral health was sparked, driving her dedication to dentistry. During her undergraduate years at MSU, she embarked on transformative experiences, including volunteering in Honduras. There, she contributed to initiatives promoting self-reliance and enhancing overall health through medical and dental brigades.

    Aleena's approach to oral health is deeply rooted in holistic well-being, recognizing the interconnectedness of mental, physical, and oral health. This philosophy has been woven into her dental education at UDM, where she actively contributed to revitalizing the Hispanic Student Dental Association. Together with her colleagues, they established a volunteer dental clinic in Detroit, Michigan, furthering their commitment to community care.

    Outside of dentistry, Aleena remains dedicated to her passions. She finds solace in nurturing her garden, continuously propagating new plants to share with friends and family When indoors, she enjoys quality time with her husband, indulging in activities like playing Rock Band, drawing, and immersing herself in a good book accompanied b a warm cup of coffee. Family and her beloved dogs are at the heart of her joy and fulfillment.
